Reported evidence.
Tencent Music's Q2 2025 release confirmed a partnership with DearU to launch bubble on QQ Music, involving artists from labels including SM, JYP and CUBE. TME reported 124.4 million paying online-music users. That number is TME's platform population, not bubble subscribers or DearU revenue.

Investment interpretation.
Fan communication monetizes access and recurring engagement rather than the song alone. Distribution through an established platform may reduce discovery costs, but it introduces commercial and data dependencies. The valuable right is not access to the platform's entire audience: it is the contracted entitlement to bill, serve and retain specific paying fan relationships.
Economic assessment.
Use net receipts after platform and artist participation, multiplied by retained paying relationships. TME's music ARPPU is not an appropriate assumed price for bubble. Subscriber conversion, churn and settlement terms are not disclosed here, so a numerical DearU revenue forecast would be unsupported.
Geographic analysis.
China
Reported connectionQQ Music is the announced distribution route. Examine billing control, customer data and platform concentration alongside the size of the potential audience.
Japan
DSML comparisonA local fan-subscription model can offer a comparison, but price, artist participation and billing terms must be normalized before drawing economic conclusions.
Other Asia
Reported connectionThe Korean service draws on artist relationships across several labels. Rights to communication and personality use need separate treatment from music-catalogue licences.
United States
DSML comparisonDirect distribution and embedded-platform distribution carry different acquisition and margin tradeoffs. The release does not provide comparable US bubble subscriber economics.
Europe
DSML comparisonCompare data and billing responsibilities contractually. Audience portability cannot be assumed when the intermediary owns the principal customer account.
Counterpoint.
A larger addressable audience can coincide with a lower retained margin and weaker customer ownership if the distribution platform controls billing and discovery.
